Dr. Florio's philosophy:

To provide the highest level of medical expertise to chronic and acute pain patients. Achieving this by tailoring each patient's treatment plan to their individual needs.

Develop an individualized treatment plan utilizing all possible treatment options.

While developing a new treatment plan use, as a guide, past treatment outcomes including positive responses to different medications including opiates; treatment modalities such as massage, acupuncture, and physical therapy; response to procedures including nerve blocks, tendon, joint and trigger point injections as well as more invasive interventional techniques

Value the patient's input when developing a particular treatment plan to achieve desired goals.

Informing and encouraging the patient to consider a multidisciplinary plan whenever possible without mandating treatment- "What works wonderfully for one patient does not necessarily work for another. Compliant patients in severe chronic pain merit the utmost respect by their physician and pharmacy."

Recognize and treat underlying factors which may contribute to severe chronic pain. This includes bioidentical hormone replacement, including testosterone treatment, and life choices which incorporate a wellness program detailed excellently in the Florida Department of Health's guide  "the 4 life plan" including ways to 1. Eat healthy 2. Be active 3. Avoid tobacco 4. Get checkups and take control.
